Playlists Are Found Here...Click Here for the Playlists!NOTE: Big Change Coming!The "ISGD Podcast Edition" will be spinning off several of its segments into their own podcasts in the near future if not already.Dave's Music Notes is a new 30-minute podcast that is created from the "Of Note" feature, which is being imported from the "ISGD-PE" show. It features interesting music that is not designed to be demented or funny, but stuff that should be played on commercial radio. Included in the podcasts will be "Police on the Scene with a Crime Prevention Lean." David Tanny News Podcast are random bits and pieces of talk stuff formerly from the ISGD-PE show. Included are "Demented Datebooks," "D.T. Rants," and other things that he wants to talk about. Sometimes, he'll phone in a few of his own. Beginning with the October 28 edition, new episodes of "ISGD-PE" will be produced with the usual new songs in the first half, and songs previously heard on recent ISGD-PE editions. The newer episodes won't include "Demented Datebooks," "D.T. Rants," "Police on the Scene," or other talk features. When a show is revised, the old show # will still be present, but with a new date. Older ISGD-PE shows will remain on the gcast server for the time being. New "Dave's Music Notes" will be produced using podsafe songs from prior editions of ISGD-PE plus newer selections. Also, "Mad Music Comedy Zone" had dropped the "Of Note" feature. Revised editions of the MMCZ will not include the "Of Note" feature. When a show is revised, the old show # will still be present, but with a new date.
This show feature dementia, comedy, novelty, and funny music and sketches. Only podsafe songs will be featured on the show. Dementia artists need to contact David Tanny by e-mail or postal mail to request their songs to be played. Dementia Artists may use the Requests For Podcast page to request their songs. Please be aware that the songs must be of FCC-friendly quality and not offensive or else they can't be used as per podcast host rules which will be honored. It was not until 16 months ago that Dick Lee * found our that Sacrifice had become a collectors item and garage punk hit for over 35 years. * The popularity of this song has been a surprise to the whole group. * The "A" side of the recording was "I Want To Tell You" and is probably my all * time favorite song. Both tracks were written by their keyboard player Kenny Sinner. * Lee recalls a funny story revolving around the recording of Sacrifice. * Remember, that during 1966 there were minimal studio effects that could be used. * Kenny Sinner came up with the idea of taking a small amp and placing a huge 15 inch * speaker in it. During the recording of “Sacrifice”, Kenny purposefully overpowered * his amp causing smoke and sparks to pour out of the back. * He eventually blew it up which resulted in the distortion sound you hear in “Sacrifice”. * The engineer ran out of the booth - tape running - and yelled, “You #@&?*$@ idiots * are going to burn the studio down.” Kenny responded, “Now that is the sound I * was looking for.” And, that sound is the intro on the recording of “Sacrifice”.
